Michael’s passion for interior design was fostered and developed by the
program of study he pursued at Dawson College. The Interior Design
diploma at Dawson was and continues to be a rigorous, challenging and
stimulating program, and it can be very difficult for students to work
at the same time. Many talented aspiring designers must support
themselves during their course of study, as well as paying
for the required materials, which can be prohibitive. We have decided
to honour Michael’s memory by setting up an annual award for a student
in the program, one who demonstrates both financial need and academic
promise, in order to ease the financial burden and reward their efforts.
A $2000 award will be given to a student selected by a panel of
Interior Design teachers, who has successfully completed their first
year of the program, and it will be presented in Michael’s name at the
graduating student vernissage.
To make this possible, we are building up an endowment fund, one that will finance the award for
years to come. Please consider contributing to this worthy cause. Your
donation is fully tax-deductible and greatly appreciated. We hope you’ll
help us keep Michael’s memory alive in this very special way.
